2016 Tire Rack DC ProSolo 5toGo

Register for the Washington DC ProSolo!

Register NOW for the 2016 DC ProSolo! Held this May 13-15th at FedEx Field, the DC Pro is the fourth event in the 2016 ProSolo series. With only four days to recover after the Wilmington Spring ProSolo, the east coast autocrossers who made the Midwest trek will have to work quickly to ready themselves for what is shaping up to be an awesome weekend. In case you need convincing, here's a few reasons why you should take one of the remaining spots on the entry list.

  1. It's at our nation's capital! OK, it's actually in Landover, Maryland, but close enough. Maybe it's just me, but it feels pretty cool to drive your race car down the Mall and past the monuments at night. Even if politics isn't your thing, you have to tip your hat to this special place.
  2. It's family friendly! While you're dodging cones, your loved ones can explore everything from the Washington Monument to the White House. There's the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol, and the National Archives, too. And then there's the museums - the National Museum of Natural History, the Air and Space Museum, and the Smithsonian. Wait a minute, this sounds better than standing in a parking lot all day...
  3. Amazing nightlife! With several universities in DC, the bar scene is probably the best of any national autocross destination east of the Mississippi. Restaurants abound, and there are plenty of venues for live music of all genres.Just don’t party too hard, lest your RTs suffer the next morning.
  4. It's the first east coast ProSolo! If you're too far from Wilmington, this is your first chance for ProSolo action. Hopefully you've shaken the rust free at some local events and dialed in your setup with those new parts. The competitions is sure to be fierce, with exciting action to be seen in many of the classes.
  5. It's at FedEx Field! The lot at FedEx is like none other. The first time I saw it I was driving in on the road at the top, and I said to myself, "I could ski down this". There is double-digit elevation change from the lowest to the highest point, and combined with varying surface materials and finishes, FedEx is the most unique venue I have ever raced at. It is very challenging to put together a good run, so pay close attention during your course walks!
