If you live in California or are a west coast native, you probably already know the reasons why you should attend the 2016 Tire Rack Crows Landing ProSolo, scheduled for April 29-May 1 in Crows Landing, California. If you’re not from the west coast (or if you are but need a refresher) read on to learn why you should attend, and then head over to scca.com and register.

You all know the benefits of competing in a pro (namely, the excellent competition and contingency options), and it’s a well-known fact that the runways at the Crows Landing Air Facility are first-rate. The fantastic weather is always a plus with averages in the low-80s towards the end of April.

If you're thinking about competing in the 2016 ProSolo Series Championship Finale in Lincoln come September, the Crows Landing Pro is the second and only other California pro (after El Toro April 8-10) in which you can compete in the minimum of two events and still stay relatively close to home (for those west coasters, the next two "closest" Pros are in Washington and Texas).

The Crows Pro is exactly a week after the 2016 Tire Rack Crows Landing Championship Tour, so take advantage of both weekends and get in the maximum bang for your buck. If you're staying for the week, be sure to hit up all the glorious hotspots within a few hours drive of Crows Landing to really elevate your trip, such as Yosemite National Park, 17 Mile Drive in Monterey, Pier 39 in San Francisco, Emerald bay in Lake Tahoe, or one of the many wineries in Napa Valley.

Those cities and their surrounding communities are quintessential Northern California and offer great sightseeing, food, and activities. You could even say that those vacation spots are also your biggest resource in getting your spouse and/or kids to attend the autocross event with you. In their future could be Ghirardelli chocolate and clam chowder in The City, wine-tasting galore, and incredible vistas in the mountains—they will come!

With close to 180 competitors in stock, street touring, street prepared, street modified, and other classes last year, you’re ensured of the same fantastic competition and camaraderie at this year’s Crows Landing ProSolo. See you there!
