Tune-In on uStream to the 2015 Tire Rack Lincoln ProSolo!
We are only a few days away from the most fun combinations of events on the Solo National circuit. The Spring Nationals ProSolo is set to be one hard-hitting event. 10 of last years ProSolo Series points winners will be in attendance, and plenty of other big names. Here's what to watch for:
STS, One of the most well subscribed classes at Nationals each year, is biggest class in this Pro with 19 drivers. Look for your Blytheville Pro class winner Mark McKnight to go for the repeat this weekend. Don't expect it to be easy with past National Champion Jeff Wong using his extensive seat time in a Civic to be challenging for the win. Although, this is anything but a slam dunk. Kinch Reindl, John Mensch, Bob Neff and Adam Barber will all be looking to make hard for them.
If street tires aren’t your thing, then there will be plenty of race tires to enjoy! Super Street Prepared will continue to give you that smoky burnout goodness that we all love. Look for clouds of smoke and fast times from past Winner Joe Tharpe and codriver Andy Hohl in their 2003 Corvette. Also rocking the Corvette will be SSP Vet Eric Stemler. Trying to break up the Chevy parade will be Alexandra Zust driving that very powerful Dodge Viper ACR. Chris and David Gladu will be out to prove that massive HP isn’t all that matters, and Mitch Fagundes will be bring the AWD launches in that beautiful Audi R8. This will be one fantastic class to watch leave the line. SSM will also be showcasing the RWD HP with last years points winner Erik Stelnieks bringing the 3-rotor out to play against the Crows Landing winner David de Regt. As always, Randall Wilcox and Eric Anderson will be trying to break up the party.
R2 might be the hardest class to pick of the weekend. Past points winner Troy Acosta will be gunning to keep his run going if car owner Erik Strelnieks can get the motor installed in time. You'll also see the ProSolo return of Fred Zust and Chris Dorsey after a year hiatus and those two can never be counted out. Mark Madarash will be driving the all to familiar Pontiac Trans-Am in what was previously a ESP car with slicks. If he has taken it further, there is a good chance that people will be chasing him all weekend.
