Welcome to the new SoloMatters! We've been working over the winter to create a new look and feel for the SoloMatters website and turn it from a basic news / blog site to an interactive Solo portal. With the plan in 2014 to expand the communications to our members which compete in Solo, we needed a new site that could handle things that we have planned for 2014. Some of that you'll see from day one and some won't be seen until events start happening. Let's take a look at some of the highlights of the new site:

Design: The most noticeable change is our new design. We have a new logo, new header and easy to find links that will take you to our various social networking pages and allow for an easy sign-up of our SoloMatters newsletter. Make sure to sign up if you haven't already. There's sure to be a lot of great new content in 2014, like our "ShopManual" series.

Headers: The top of the page has some regularly used links. From our series sponsor, The Tire Rack to our Starting Line "Autocross Users Guide" to a quick "SEB" contact link, things that are most important to you are just a click away. We even have all the most recent SoloRules and FasTracks in the "Rules" section of the site.

Tiles: Check out the News Tiles to see the 12 most recent stories added to SoloMatters. To the right of that, we have the most recently archived stories. As people start to visit the new site, we'll keep track of the popular stories and some of the best will start to bubble to the top of the "Other Stories" list. You can also filter stories by category as we add new content so you can easily find the stories most important to you.

Countdown: On the right hand side of the page you'll see the event countdown. We'll also have the "Events On Deck" which will show what other events will be coming up. As we finish putting events into MotorsportsReg, you'll be able to see more event information right on SoloMatters.

Sharing: Like a story? Want to share an event? Maybe you just need to pass the site around to your friends. The top right of each page will have a "Share This Page" box that lets you use the most common social networks to share all the great new SoloMatters content.

What's next? In the coming weeks, we'll be tweaking the site as we get feedback and adding features. Overall, we're trying to make this a better site and a more usable site for everyone who loves to Solo. Have feedback already? We would love to hear it, that is what the contact link is for.
