From Brian Harmer

The registration process for Match Tours, Championship Tours and ProSolo’s won’t be changing much for 2013. However, getting the word out this year about the process may make registering for an event easier for members.

First off registration is going to be set to open up on the Friday 8 weeks prior to the event at 8:00 am central. That means the first National event of the year (Dixie Match Tour) will open up at 8:00 am on Friday January 18. Online registration will close the Monday prior to the event at 12:00pm central. To use the Dixie example online registration will close for that event on Monday March 11. Once online registration has closed a member is still able to register for the event by faxing (785-861-1731) or emailing the entry form to Deena Rowland (drowland@scca.com, 1-800-770-2055). Any registration received after online has closed will not appear on the registration list online.

Once registration has been closed and a member needs to make a change to their registration it is best to contact Sandi Brown (sandilewb@att.net) for changes to Championship Tour and ProSolo registrations and Tracy Lewis (tblewis@lewisdigital.net) for Match Tours. Any change that is made by Sandi or Tracy after registration has closed will not appear on the registration list online.

Next, when a member is registering we have added another question for members to answer. We already ask if there is a second driver in the class and to name that second driver. We will be adding to that if the car will be competing in more than one class. Having this question will help us with creating a run/work order to try and make sure cars in multiple classes are accommodated for. This could be for a car that will be competing in the same class but in open and ladies or it could be for completely different classes. Along with that when choosing your class we have a drop down box for your RTP/PAX Index. If you are running in a class that is based on the RTP/PAX (Road Tire, Ladies 1, etc) please make sure you select the correct class for your index. Doing so will help eliminate errors.

Once again in 2013 we will be offering deferred payments for Match Tours and Championship Tours. This means a member’s credit card will not be charged until the Monday prior to the event. However, if a member wishes to be charged sooner they are more than welcome to contact Deena Rowland (drowland@scca.com, 1-800-770-2055) and she will charge the card sooner.
