For those who don't know you, tell us a little bit about your involvement in SCCA Solo. I started autocrossing competitively while living the in the San Francisco area a little less than 9 years ago.  Back then I had a 1970 Porsche 914 with about as much hp as it needed to get out of its own way.  After transplanting to the Portland area, I had the opportunity to co-drive a much more potent Porsche 914/6 and have since bought the car to further develop on my own.  Over the years I have attended just about every Oregon Region SCCA event and last year I ventured to both the San Diego and the Wendover National Tour events.  I have been co-chairing the Oregon Region Porsche Club autocross program for the last 5 years and have been getting more and more involved with local SCCA groups.  This year I plan to make my first trip to Lincoln, NE for Nationals. You have recently created a website, geared toward motorsports enthusiast, tell us a little bit about it? We have created the website www.where2race.com that lists motorsport events from clubs all over the country in an effort to both help clubs gain exposure for events and to help fellow drivers keep track of their racing schedule.  The site is primarily a search engine to assist drivers in finding information about upcoming events of all types (i.e. autocross, track events, rallycross, etc.) that are occurring in their region.  Once they have located events that they are interested in attending, they can build their own personalized racing schedule to keep track of their busy schedule and ensure that they don't miss an opportunity to go racing.  The site also allows users to "follow" their favorite venues and can see all the events listed from every club that utilizes that venue.  The users can also find their friends on the site and see their friends racing schedule as well.  The site is fully integrated with Facebook and we are rolling out new features for the site every week.  Soon we will have a "discovery" stream on the dashboard on user accounts that will notify them of upcoming events from clubs or venues that they are following and have the ability to suggest events to their friends.  The site is free for clubs and free for drivers. What has the reception been like so far? The feedback from both club organizers and drivers using the site so far has been fantastic.  Clubs from all over the country have listed their season schedule and we now have over 350 events listed at over 100 venues across the country.  Fellow drivers that I have spoken too really like the simplicity of finding events that they are interested in attending and building a schedule that they can reference.  From a club organizers perspective, the site is very powerful as it further promotes their events to a wider audience and provides links back to their site and to a registration site if applicable. Ultimately, what is your goal for this site? The goal and slogan for Where2Race is "The Ultimate Motorsports Event Search Engine" and we are striving to be just that.  We are working to build a comprehensive database of all types of motorsport events with many features that will help drivers get the most out of their racing season. I understand you have quite the project underway, care to give us a little sneak-peek? Ah, back to that Porsche 914/6 that I have spent the last several months overhauling.  The car has been competitive up and down the west coast competing in the XP class with a Porsche 911 6-cylinder engine.  While these engines are incredible, they cannot yield the power to displacement ratio of a modern engine and therefore I have completely overhauled the car and installed a Subaru STi engine.  This entailed adding a radiator and several hundred wires as the Porsche engine was air-cooled and carbureted and the Subaru engine is water-cooled and fuel injected.  The car is now much more complex, but the additional power should be welcomed when competing with some of the fast, high horsepower competitors out there.
