Atlanta Motor Speedway 1500 Tara Place Hampton, GA 30228

Event: Atlanta National Tour, May 6-8 Entry Cap: 325 Surface: Asphalt

There is no Region as dedicated to the pursuit of fun as the Atlanta Region and this year they get their own Tour. Expect to see the same kind of enthusiasm that has been witnessed over the past years at Nationals where food, fun and foursquare have become mainstays of the ATL compound. The event site is the aptly named Champions Lot at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, south of Atlanta. Course designer Jay Parcon is a master of laying out fast, challenging and, yes, fun courses in this lot and the Tour course will be no exception. Atlanta’s own grill man, Tom Shuman is planning his signature Carne Asada cookout for the welcome party. If you are looking for some southern cooking and sweet tea, stop in at O.B.'S Real Pit Out-N-Back BBQ located just off I-75, along with the majority of the hotels in the area. This event is on mother’s day weekend, so bring her along and take a extra day to see the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola or some shopping in Atlanta’s Lenox Square.
