Sim Racing: What is it Good For?

With new sim racing competitions popping up every season like Nissan’s GT Academy, RaceRoom’s DTM Experience Winter Series or the weekly challenges from Project CARS, there’s more and more opportunities to turn a sim racing hobby into the real deal.

Matt at nasportscar.com spoke to two former Nissan Academy Winners, Bryan Heitkotter and Nickolas McMillen, and also Andy Lee, who took the more traditional route into professional racing, to get their views on sim racing within real racing.  He wanted to find out if drivers can bring anything from the virtual race track to the real race track, if “simulation value” is a real thing, and if people should view sims as tools or entertainment.

See what Bryan and Nickolas had to say at nasportscar.com.
