Track Night in America: Your Summer Getaway Travel Guide

Summertime, and the livin’ is easy … almost as easy as you and your everyday road car driving on one of 20 real race circuits across the U.S. this June, July and August thanks to SCCA Track Night in America Driven by Tire Rack.

Jason, a driving enthusiast from North Carolina, made his summer vacation plans with ease thanks to Track Night in America. Having already attended such SCCA events at Atlanta Motorsports Park and Palm Beach International Raceway, the 36-yr-old fiction author opted to use future Track Night in America dates as a travel guide for summer adventure.

“Me and my BMW M3 on tracks of which I’ve dreamed. There’s no better way to spend vacation time,” Jason explained. “I’ve got my eye on Track Night in America events this summer at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, New Jersey Motorsports Park and NCM Motorsports Park; and look forward to exploring the country as I make my way to those race courses.”

Jason fell in love with racing at 19 years old after watching the World Rally Championship on television. He then became a fan of Formula One, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and started watching any type of racing he could.

“I’ve immersed myself in track events for the last three years,” Jason continued. “I’ve gone through racing schools and attended various track days, but Track Night in America has a very different feel. It’s an affordable, mid-week opportunity to blow off steam.”

Weekend track events can be a bit competitive, according to Jason. But the atmosphere at Track Night in America is totally different. There’s camaraderie, support and friendship throughout. It’s just comfortable, pleasant and fun.

“As a writer, I think Track Night in America is like a ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ book,” Jason joked. “You decide your experience. You decide your speed and comfort level. But everyone comes out a winner with smiles and new friends. That’s a pretty good vacation experience in my book.”
