Stop!
Depending on your musical preferences, your brain might have finished that opening sentence with a Supremes song (“Stop! In the Name of Love”), a Meatloaf rock ballad (“Paradise By The Dashboard Light” … Stop right there!), a timeless Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty tune (“Stop Draggin' My Heart Around”), or any number of other dittys. Had I said, “Don’t Stop,” you would have definitely been humming either “Don't Stop Believin” (Journey) or “Don't Stop Me Now” (Queen) for the rest of the day (both of which are solid earworms I approve of).
Yet none of that is what I’m talking about.
I’m here to tell you about how you need to STOP spending money willy nilly and instead make smart financial decisions, like using the discount code AUGUSTHAWK25 at checkout when registering for an SCCA® Track Night in America® Driven by Tire Rack event during the month of August (tip: the event doesn’t need to take place in August, you just need to register for the event during the month of August). Because if you do use that discount code, you’ll save $25 off the already low event price, and you’ll do it thanks to Hawk Performance.
What is Track Night? It’s the lowest stress way to get on track in your street car, where all you need is a helmet and a go-getter attitude. And regardless of your experience level, there’s a run group for you.
Hawk Says “Stop” Too
Hawk Performance is more than the Official Brake Products of SCCA since 2003(!), it’s also your source for top-tier brake pads. Whether you’re talking about stopping street cars, trucks, or competition vehicles, Hawk has the clamping power you need.
The company’s street-tuned HPS pads are legendary, offering tons of fitments for high performance street vehicles. Come to think of it, “High Performance Street” is what HPS stands for. Go figure! Also in Hawk’s lineup is the HPS 5.0, which is built for everyone who owns cars with plenty of torque, which includes people who love rollin’ in their five-point-oh (ding, ding, ding, diggi-ding, ding ... tss ... ding, ding, ding, diggi-ding, ding), along with the Performance Ceramic (PC) pads.
For the Track Night you’ll be heading to using that AUGUSTHAWK25 discount code, slap any of those pads listed above onto your ride before the event and you’ll be smiling all day long.
If you drag your vehicle to events using a truck or SUV, you’ll want to upgrade those pads to Hawk’s LTS equipment, or maybe beyond. The LTS pads are more resistant to fade than stock pads, offer excellent rotor life, and give up to 40% more stopping power. If you pull more weight than the average bear, Hawk’s Super Duty (SD) pads are your jam.
Motorsports fitments? Those exist too! While we wouldn’t recommend many of Hawk’s motorsports brake pads for street use, the company’s HP+ pads are certainly up to the task of a Track Night, plus the drive to and from the event.
For those with dedicated race cars (which are a Track Night no-no), Hawk offers a full lineup of DTC sprint racing pads, plus ER-1 endurance pads and more.
Check out the entire brake pad lineup at hawkperformance.com.
Brake Free
Remember the Queen earworm from earlier? Now I’ve got “I Want to Break Free” stuck in my head. Unfortunately, there’s no parallel between those lyrics and this article, so I’ll get back to the point.
The point is, use the special Hawk Performance discount code AUGUSTHAWK25 at checkout on any new Track Night in America Driven by Tire Rack event registration during the month of August to break free of high-cost track adventures (oh, I guess I can tie it all together).
With an average price of around $175, Track Night’s already a steal, but with $25 off your entry thanks to Hawk Performance, this discount means you’ll score your next entry for a song.
