From the IMS website...

"The event is unprecedented for both the Club and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, pitting the amateur National Championship event on the 14 turn, 2.439-mile road course that hosts the Verizon IndyCar Series’ Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis."

another fail by the club!

" I have zero desire to race there, and even less to drive that far for said race"

said no one who was ever in contention for a championship.

Joseph F McClughan

pretty simple, those of us in the Southwest have to hike across the country again to run this.

I am sure Indy is a wonderful place, but I have zero desire to race there, and even less to drive that far for said race. After all, if we are going to do the runoffs up north all the time( think about it; with the exception of Daytona this year, almost all since 1998)

Big thanks need to go to the MidOhio Region Porsche Club of America for showing the speedway that amateur drivers could drive at the IMS.
