Volunteer Recruitment Kit

Utilize branded flags and banners to help recruit volunteers at car shows, pro events, and other community events.

The rental kit will be available to regions/divisions on a first come, first serve basis. There is no cost for the rental, however, the region/division will be responsible for shipping (both to and from your location) and replacing any items that are damaged.

If you are interested in purchasing a kit for your region or division, the estimated cost for a base kit (two feather flags and two banners) is $300, before taxes and shipping. You will have the option to customize your kit to your needs as you'll be placing an order directly with the vendor.

To rent or purchase a kit, please visit this page and provide your information for the appropriate follow up.

Recruitment Script

The following is designed to assist you with your recruitment efforts to help keep a consistent message across all SCCA Regions and Divisions. This is a starting point that we hope will enable you to add personal experiences to make the discussion sound as genuine and exciting as volunteering at Road Races.

Postcard

The postcard is designed to be printed double-sided with your Region/Division details on the back. In the example below, I put the Southwest Division schedule and logo, plus left space for a QR code to take the viewer to the website.

There are three options to download:

  • Canva Template (preferred method)
    • Use the online graphic design platform to customize the back of your postcard with event dates and logo(s)
    • Easily order printed postcards from the same website
  • Word Template
    • Uses the Avery 8387 postcards (available on Amazon for ink jet or laser printers)
    • Simply add the custom text to the second page
    • Print as a two-sided document
  • PDF: Front & Back
    • Download the front and back files
    • Use a graphic editing program (Canva, InDesign, Photoshop) to add your custom text to the back file
    • Print them at a local print shop or online
    • Dimensions are 5.5 inches wide by 4.5 inches tall

If you are having issues with adding your text, you can reach out to Sydney for troubleshooting assistance.

Business Cards

There are two options for business cards. One is a general use card with the photos and the trackside information and the other can be customized with your region logo. Both links will take you to the online graphic design platform, Canva, where you can order generic cards to be printed or easily add your region logo before ordering cards.

Yard Sign

This design is 18" tall by 24" wide, a standard size for yard (political campaign) signs. Download the Volunteer Recruitment Yard Sign file and have it printed at your local or online print shop.

Call for Volunteer Recruitment Email Templates

These email templates are designed to be used by Regions and Divisions to write consistent, informative emails recruiting volunteers for their upcoming events.

There are four templates designed for the following audiences:

  2. Recruiting licensed/experience marshals from your region/division who are not familiar with your region/division’s procedures and/or the track
  3. Recruiting SCCA members from other program areas of your region or division who may not be familiar with your region/division’s procedures and/or the track
  4. Recruiting those who are interested without experience (these could be leads generated from recruitment events, trackside emails, or word of mouth)
  5. Recruiting students from high schools, technical colleges, and universities for various specialties through curriculum/degree programs and/or extracurricular clubs/activities
