Autocross only Event Shootout Tech Inspection and Check-In will occur at the Lincoln Driver's Center unless specified elsewhere in the event details. Look for the SCCA-branded canopies set up near the Region trailer.

TECH INSPECTION:

A Chief Technical Inspector (CTI) will be appointed as per the National Solo Rules, Section 5.6. The role of the CTI will be to oversee the process and if needed conduct additional inspections of vehicles.

A Self-Tech Inspection form will be available online before the event as well as on-site. The tech form can be found on this page in the section located on the right side of the page or below this dropdown if on mobile that also contains links to online registration, live timing, and worker descriptions. Simply download the form and print a copy to bring with you to the event – ONE FOR EACH DRIVER.

  1. Each driver will complete the form by conducting a self-tech of their vehicle when parked in the paddock, warranting that their car is compliant with the SCCA Solo Rules. If there are two or more drivers using the vehicle, a completed form is needed for each driver.
  2. When the tech form is complete, all drivers of the vehicle will take their helmet, and the completed Self-Tech Inspection form to Tech Inspection/Check-in.
    • The driver gives their Self-Tech Inspection form to the CTI, or their designee, and shows them their helmet to verify that helmet requirements are met and issue necessary decals (Solo 2025 and/or barcode). The helmet will also be made available to a Check-In worker who will scan the barcode to ensure that we can get a valid scan. If a new helmet barcode is needed, one will be provided. (NOTE: If you have a helmet barcode that is not from National Solo, it must be covered or removed during the event. The scanning system only recognizes that there is a barcode, it does not differentiate between National Solo vs Regional or other programs.)
    • Drivers will be asked if they need any SCCA or contingency decals AND if there are any changes to their event registration information (car, class, number, etc.).

If there are NO changes to the information that was used to register on MSR, they will be checked in for the event at Tech using the self-tech form and their tech and check-in for the event are complete.

If there ARE changes to the registration information that was used to register on MSR, they will KEEP their tech form. They must bring the tech form and their helmet to the SCCA Timing Trailer at the designated time shown on the event schedule to complete any changes and be checked in for the event.

  1. While in the paddock, the class designation and numbers should be placed on the vehicle. Also place on the vehicle, any SCCA-required decals and appropriate contingency decals. All SCCA-required decals and some contingency decals are available at Tech Inspection. (NOTE: Additional information about SCCA-required decals and their placement can be found in the “Vehicle Eligibility & Information” section)

ON-SITE CHECK-IN:

Event supps will no longer be handed out when you check in but are available by request. Event Details (aka Supps) will be posted online on the Event page as well as on-site in the following areas: Tech/Impound/Lincoln Driver’s Center & on Sportity.

Schedules shown on the SCCA Online Event Page, Sololive & on Sportity are the official schedules for the event.

Work assignments will also be posted on Sportity. A report showing the class listing will be created and it contains information about competitors’ registrations, including work assignments. Information will be available when you tech if you ask.

If you have NO CHANGES to your registration, you can proceed through tech, turn in your tech form and you will be checked in for the event.

If you HAVE CHANGES to your registration, you can proceed through tech, but you will need to KEEP your tech form and make your way to the SCCA Timing Trailer at the designated time for registration changes (see the event schedule for times). You will be checked-in for the event at that time.

Once check-in is closed for the event, a finalized worker sheet will be posted online to Sportity (approx 8:15am). Please check there to verify that your work assignment has not changed due to class changes, cancellations, etc. Any work assignments that have changed will be highlighted in light grey.
