Directions from 390

  • Arrival instructions: You will enter off 96A, turning onto Seneca Army Depot Rd.
    • At the main entrance gate, turn left. If you hit a dirt road at any point, you’ve gone too far.
    • Follow the road to the right, past the fire tower.
    • When you reach the big open asphalt pad, turn right again.
    • Continue straight from there and you’ll end up at the runway

Site Map, Including Access Route (don't come up the dirt access road):

Site Information/Restrictions

  • The site is accessible after 5pm Thursday night. Finger Lakes Region members will be there to help with any questions and help direct traffic.
  • Camping is welcome and encouraged on-site. Access to bathroom facilities and hand washing stations will be available beginning Thursday. Shower facilities will be available but may not arrive until after Thursday. (Showers are also available at Sampson State Park and Smith Memorial Park in Hector.)
    • The Camping Area is across the runway from the main entrance (NOT the dirt road straight ahead from the site entrance off 96A – again, if you hit a dirt road at any point this weekend, you’ve gone off line).
    • The Camping Area is mowed and insect and tick treated.
    • Please give priority to tent campers. And if it rains on Friday, your best bet is to not pitch tents right beside the asphalt of the runway – the runoff is pretty intense.
    • NO fires off the asphalt. All fires must be in barrels, pits, or otherwise contained and not directly on the asphalt.
    • Shower trailer will be down near the fire tower and will be run by a generator (if the generator is off, the water will be cold).
    • There are several locations along Rt 96A to purchase firewood both north and south of the depot, and most stores in the area also sell firewood.
  • Smaller trailers that can safely park ACROSS the runway can park in the center of the runway. Bigger rigs should park on the left- and right-hand sides of the runway, LENGTHWISE OR park in the lower paved area marked “Large Trailer Parking” (see site map below). Parking needs to allow for thruways along each side of the center-parked crowd. If this parking layout is not followed, dangerous traffic jams can occur. Safety reserves the right to ask you to move if you don’t follow the layout.
  • Please do not try to “reserve” large areas for groups. Do try to park as efficiently as possible. Even though the runway is long, space runs out very quickly if parking is not efficient.
  • Carry in/Carry out as much as you can. Lean really hard into “leave the site cleaner than you found it” as the site owner has been unhappy with the site condition post-event in the past. No one wants to be a part of the last event at a site due to trash issues.
    • There will be barrels with trash bags all over the paddock. Please use them.
    • There will also be a dumpster trailer on site. ALL TRASH MUST BE BAGGED AND SECURELY TIED BEFORE BEING PUT IN THE DUMPSTER.
Friday
  • Finger Lakes will be hosting a welcome dinner at 5:30pm, including a vegan option. Their resident chefs will once again be preparing their finest dining options, so bring your appetite! It’s an excellent time to catch up with your autocross buddies before the event begins.
    • Menu: Chiavettas applewood smoked BBQ chicken, Smoked wet cured Pork Spiedes, Corn Bread, Beans (Vegan), Rice, Smoked Collards (Vegan), sandwich fixin's and a side salad
  • Test & Tune will be running from 12-4pm, first come first served. Drivers must work after their runs.
    • Sign up begins at 11am at the TnT course, with time slots being 1 hour.
    • Co-drivers may sign up together in a single time slot
    • You may not sign up for concurrent time slots to drive without working
    • Each time slot will allow ~25 cars
Saturday/Sunday
  • The Puerto Rican food bus will be back on site this year! They should keep you well fed, but if you need to head out, there are several lunch options available within 20 mins both north and south of the site.

    • On Seneca Lake:
  • Explore the area: If you have scheduled extra time to explore the area, go visit some breweries and wineries on Seneca Lake. It really is a gem. Hiking as well: there are so many amazing state parks and Watkins Glen is world-renowned for its hiking trails and visuals. Ithaca and its gorges aren't too far from the site either. Sampson State Park is right up the street and includes an aerospace museum. Between wineries and state parks, you could easily spend a week or more exploring just Seneca Lake on its own!
