  • Golf Cart Information:

Participant - owned golf carts and pit vehicles will be covered under the event policy.  A Golf Cart/Pit Vehicle Credential Application must still be completed and turned into Registration to obtain your VIR Off-Road/Pit Vehicle permit.

Click here for National Carts order link  No additional insurance is required to rent a golf cart, but a National Cart Rental waiver must be signed when picking up the cart. Rented National Carts do not require an additional VIR Off-Road/Pit Vehicle permit.

  • Test Day:

    Test day schedule and supplemental regulations are available from the Runoffs event page menu.  If your test day group is sold-out, email runoffs@scca.com to be added to the wait-list.  Include your name, contact phone #, member #, class and test day date.   

  • Test Day Coaching Information:

    Official SCCA Runoffs Coaching at VIR available Oct 4th  through 7th with Ross Bentley, Tom Long, and Kaizen Autosport coaching team.
    Must register by August 18th for $895 price. After Aug 18th, price increases to $1195

    Runoffs Coaching Promo Make the most of your Runoffs experience, while learning from the top coach Speed Secrets’ Ross Bentley, IMSA Pro  Tom Long, and Kaizen Autosport’s own VIR expert coaches.  Kaizen Autosport is based at VIR and has an accredited SCCA driving school.  Ross  is  the best selling author of Speed Secrets and top international racing coach .  Tom is a championship winning driver in IMSA, factory driver for Mazda Motorsports, and VIR expert.  

    Ross and Tom have teamed up with Kaizen Autosport to provide a unique all-encompassing 4-Day program, to give you the best opportunity for success at the 2019 Runoffs. The program runs throughout the SCCA’s October 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th official test days. 

    No matter how many of these test days you actually drive on-track (one, two, three or all four), you have full access to the coaching team for the four days. They will lead track walks, discuss the details of the circuit, analyze and review data and video, give your mental game a tune-up, coach you on your driving technique, and advise on car setup. This is an exclusive program available to a select group of drivers committed to getting the most out of themselves and their cars – drivers who want to know they’ve given the Runoffs their very best!

  • Camping Information:

    Participant Camping - Participant RV space reservations, and tent camping pass requests, may be made during online event registration.   Grass tent camping (along the west tree line) will be free for event participants.  Please be sure you checked YES to tent camping in your registration form to receive a general camping pass at the SCCA Registration counter at the event.  Unmarked Spaces - 1st come, 1st served.  Alternative Tent Camping locations available in VIR General unreserved areas (pass required).  Additional Information on Participant Camping 

    Spectator Camping Areas – Passes may be purchased onsite at VIR. Reservations not available.

  • Motor Home Services:

    Motorhome services such as dump and fill are available for a fee from Matthews Sanitation.  More information available at Driver Information.


  • Rig Staging Details:

    • Rig Staging September 30 – October 4: Participants arriving before Registration opens or after Registration closes may temporarily park their rigs at the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fairgrounds located at 1861 Milton Highway. Rigs staged at the Fairgounds will be parked first, before any rigs that go directly to VIR.
    •  Rig Staging October 5 and after: Participants arriving before Registration opens or after Registration closes may temporarily park their rigs on the East side of Raceplex Rd. in the Technology Park.
