classing a modified 2017 STI
This is a discussion I started with a friend over my modified 2017 Subaru STI. The list of mods are down below. I went the through the rules and internet and have concluded that I'm probably ASP. However, there is this in ASP: Impreza WRX (incl. STI) (2015-16) I have a 2017. No other SP's state a 2017 STI except in FSP it says Subaru Turbo 4WD (all, NOC). To me, this means FSP for me. However in spirit of sportsmanship - ASP is more for my car. I'm not a national competitor and don't see where I'd be going to anything more than local events in SV and maybe Marana.
This could be a killer advantage for me. On a 30 second course it's seriously to my benefit to take advantage of this rule.
ASP: .849 = 25.47
SM: .854 = 25.62
FSP: .823 = 24.69
I also only found that using flex fuels of more than 15% ethanol are banned in only Stock and Street Touring classes. Can anybody speak to this as well ?
