Who Will Win RallyCross Nats? Modified and UTV

As we wrap up our three-part look at the Oct. 16-18, 2026, SCCA® RallyCross® National Championship Presented by Bingham Equipment Company field, it’s time to turn our attention to two categories that couldn’t be more different from each other: Modified and UTV. Both will be looking for the same thing when competition begins at the Camp Verde Equestrian Center in Arizona, but the paths to get there will be anything but the same.

The Modified classes represent the extreme end of the traditional RallyCross car. With fewer restrictions on what competitors can do to their cars than the Stock and Prepared classes, Modified machines have the potential to bring serious performance to the dirt. That means the drivers aren't simply trying to keep a car pointed in the right direction, they’re managing a performance car built to extract as much performance as possible from a surface that doesn’t want to cooperate.

Then there are the UTVs.

They may look different from production-based cars that make up the bulk of the RallyCross field, but the challenge remains the same: find the fastest way through the courses no matter the odds. With a UTV’s unique combination of size, suspension, and off-road capability, these vehicles bring their own personality to the National Championship fight.

But who’s going to win in these classes? We already presented polls for Stock and Prepared (so go back and vote in those), and now it’s your turn to weigh in on Modified and UTV.

If you've followed along with parts one and two in this series, you know the drill. After you cast your vote, scroll back up and select “See previous responses” to see how everyone else is calling the championship fight. If your favorite isn't getting the support you expected, there's always the opportunity to cast another vote by refreshing the article.

When the competition gets underway on Oct. 16, follow all the action at SCCA.com, where a live timing link will be featured at the top of the site throughout the weekend.
