SCCA Foundation, the charitable arm of the Sports Car Club of America™, has hosted numerous sweepstakes throughout the years, but never one like this. Past sweepstakes have included, among other things, trips and experiences. This time around, the stakes are a car. And not just any car – this is a rare 1967 Porsche 911S that would look perfect in your garage.
Valued at an incredible $185,000, this classic Porsche houses a verified, numbers-matching engine and transaxle combo, with a major engine-out service completed just three years ago – the same year it took part in the Tejas Turismo, a three-day, 800-mile rally through Texas hill country.
Equipped with a roll cage but fully street legal, the Porsche being given away in this sweepstakes is not only the first car sweepstakes for SCCA Foundation, but it’s also for a Porsche that is beyond rare.
While the 911 had been introduced a handful of years earlier in 1964, the higher output 2.0L air-cooled flat-six 911S was new for 1967 and set the standard for the 911s that followed, making this an incredibly desirable year. Combine that with the quality of this specific car, and this quickly turns into what could be a once in a lifetime sweepstakes.
With all SCCA Foundation sweepstakes, it doesn’t take a massive donation to get in the game. For this sweepstakes, donations range from $25 for 18 tickets to $2,000 for 4,000 tickets, with many options in between. But for SCCA® members, SCCA Foundation is running a 30% bonus when using this link:
The sweepstakes winner will have the option to choose the car (and why wouldn’t you pick the car?) or $80,000 in cash.
This sweepstakes is open now and runs through 11:59 p.m. Jan. 31, 2027.
