ProSolo Action – Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

It’s Sunday morning of Labor Day weekend, and that can only mean one thing – Heat 3 is about to spool up at the Lincoln Airpark, and the Challenges come fast and furious right behind that at the Tire Rack ProSolo Championship Finale.

You can watch today’s action on-line by clicking here, but let’s look at what we saw yesterday.

David Marcus, Sam Strano and Dennis Hubbard are all in the running through the Street 3 category. Marcus’ B Street Supra leads the way, followed by the F Street Mustang of Strano.

Dave Schotz leads the Challenge points coming into this weekend, and is in prime position to make the field with some work on Sunday. He is, however, trailing Justin Peachy by 1.412 seconds in the CAM class through Saturday.

Overall, the number that matters for Challenge placement is the overall Pax Index standings. Through Saturday, Jeff Kiesel leads the way, followed by Peachy, James Yom, Cameron Goode and Randall Wilcox. Schotz, with the target on his back, is just outside the top five in sixth. The top 32 make the cut for Sunday afternoon’s Super Challenge.

On the Ladies side, the action is event hotter and the competition for the year-long point title even closer. Nicole Wong leads the way after Saturday, followed by Christine Grice, Meredith Brown, Shelly Monfort and Laura Marcus in the top 5.
