SCCA Women on Track Introduces Time Trials Scholarship: Apply Now

With a mission to increase the participation of women and girls in all aspects of motorsports, this year the SCCA Women on Track initiative will award its first SCCA Women on Track Time Trials Scholarships.

Two recipients of this year’s SCCA Women on Track Time Trials Scholarship will each receive $1,000, with the scholarship helping fund their attendance at any 2023 Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour events, including the Tire Rack SCCA® Time Trials Nationals taking place Oct 12-15 at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY.

While applicants need to have a car available for use at a Time Trials National Tour event, the recipient does not need to be a member of the Sports Car Club of America to apply.

“Our goal is to increase the participation of women in Time Trials,” said Jackie Mutschler, Chair of SCCA Women on Track’s Time Trials Committee. “Time Trials are a great way to experience higher speeds on a variety of tracks. Many competitors do Time Trials and autocrosses with the same car, making getting on track more accessible.

“The annual Time Trials Nationals at NCM Motorsports Park is the premier SCCA Time Trials opportunity to further build the community while also competing at a great track, and our committee would like to thank the SCCA Foundation for making these scholarships possible.”

The SCCA Women on Track Time Trials Scholarship application deadline is June 20, 2023, with completed submissions to be reviewed by the SCCA Women on Track Scholarship Committee.
