In the News: Snake River Region Autocross

If you popped on Idaho 6 News a few weeks back, you might have caught news anchor Roland Beres reporting on a Snake River Region autocross at Expo Idaho in Boise. If you missed it, you’ll want to check out this news story.

Sports Car Club of America® and Snake River Region member Neal Stanley opens the segment discussing not only his A Modified car, but also what autocross is, how expansive the Club is, and how autocross is a sport anyone can do.

The Region ensured Beres was able to experience the event from the best place possible: inside a car. As expected, Beres was effusive in his description of the experience. “This is Alex behind me,” Beres reported from the event, standing next to the No. 77 SSM Corvette of Alexendre Sachs. “He just took me for a ride and it was the thrill of a lifetime. The guy has done a lot of racing in his years, and he loves coming here.”

Beres also spoke to Nick Johnston. “It is one of the best car communities that I have been a part of,” Johnston said. “It’s not this brand against that brand, it’s [that] we’re all doing something fun together.”
