Virtual Convention is Coming to Close

2021 marked the first SCCA Convention to be held entirely virtual, and by all practical measures, it has been a success. The virtual format allowed more members and leaders to attend the courses that were most valuable to them, without the travel expenses associated with the in-person convention.

But it’s not finished yet! This Friday, February 19, at 2:30 p.m. CT, President and CEO Mike Cobb will give a brief “wrap up” to end the Convention and a preview of what’s next in the world of SCCA.

And while Mr. Cobb will do the heavy lifting in his talk, consider this the first phase of congratulations! More than 1100 of you attended at least one session so far – a true credit to your interest in growing the Club.

But it’s more than just participating. An amazing 49 different speakers led 76 sessions over the past month, with thousands of views already in the books. Each and every one of you deserve a hearty “thank you” along with your congratulations for doing your part in the growth of this Club.

Some of our more eagle-eyed participants have also noticed that the Annual Meeting, typically held as part of the Convention, was not a part of the 2021 edition. More details are forthcoming, but this year’s annual meeting will also be held virtually on March 27 – so save that date!

Did you miss a session that you wanted to attend, or did you attend a session that you think others should enjoy? Much of the convention content will remain on the Whova App until March 31, where those who did not see the sessions live can still register and rewatch.
