Introducing ProLaunch: A Starting Line Experience

Do you want to try a ProSolo, but just aren’t sure how it works? Have you heard it’s just for Pros and the format is super confusing? Do you think you are not good enough to participate in a ProSolo?

SCCA Starting Line program has introduced hundreds of students to autocross, and now brings the SCCA Starting Line ProLaunch Experience to do the same for the Tire Rack ProSolo season.

The SCCA Starting Line ProLaunch Experience uses a team of successful ProSolo veterans who still remember the nerves of their first events to show you the ins and outs of a ProSolo and the variations from a traditional autocross event. From the unique grid to those crazy lights that say you can hit the throttle and go, instructors will support you in a fun and welcoming environment.

What Wil I Learn?

The SCCA Starting Line ProLaunch Experience is designed to help students better understand how the SCCA's ProSolo events run. It will also give participants an excellent opportunity to learn how the “drag race” start works with an instructor by their side. Please keep in mind that this is not your typical Driving School, as the actual driving is limited to practice starts only. Each student will receive at least 12 practice starts, with coaching throughout the weekend.

Who is this for?

Anyone entered in a given ProSolo is able to participate. If learning autocross tips is a more valuable resource, checking into a traditional Starting Line School may be a more appropriate course. Do you typically compete in Regional events, but want to try out a ProSolo? This is the place for you! Have you come to a ProSolo and realized you need to work on your launches and reaction time? Ditto. Here we are!

When is the program?

The ProLaunch Experience will take place at each remaining 2020 Tire Rack ProSolo event. Coaching and work begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and continues through the weekend with additional tips, tricks and pointers.

What’s the cost?

The SCCA Starting Line ProLaunch Experience is available to anyone already entered in the ProSolo at just $65. This does not include a ProSolo entry fee – which is an obviously integral part of the experience.
