Paul Darling Stirs Pot in Virtual SCCA SRF Challenge

The SCCA Spec Racer Ford Challenge Presented by Skip Barber Racing School continues to produce surprises in the closing weeks of the inaugural season. With just two weeks of competition remaining, Paul Darling has stirred the top three pot by slotting himself into second place, booting Larry MacLeod from a spot he has enjoyed for several weeks now. Darling also managed to slim the gap to first by a healthy margin, as he is only a handful of points back now. Bordeaux will be feeling the pressure this week as Darling bares down.

Larry MacLeod and Zachary Le Vey find themselves in an unfortunate and unusual position. Le Vey, who looked as though he would run away with the series, is now in fourth just off the podium, and MacLeod is in third. Even with these setbacks, these two drivers are only a race or two away from the top step of the podium.

The next three positions are impossibly tight as well, with less than 100 points separating them. By iRacing scoring, that distance can be made up by a single win during the week, meaning the fight for the rest of the top ten is as fierce as ever. Here are your top 15 SCCA Spec Racer Ford Challenge drivers and their current points totals:
1 - Tommy Bordeaux, 1068
2 - Paul Darling, 1008
