This weekend the 2016 Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires season kicks off at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. In 2006, the series launched at the same track using the third-generation Mazda MX-5 platform. This year, a new platform takes over with the new fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 Platform.

This weekend’s races will be Friday and Saturday, both at 12:00 p.m. Pacific. Both races will be streamed on www.mazdalive.com as well as www.iRacing.com and www.fanschoice.tv . The next two rounds in the series will be at Watkins Glen International Raceway May 13-15.
