Grant Reeve is at the top of the Super Street R field, ahead of some top-tier drivers. At past Tire Rack National Championships, Reeve has had back luck with cones, but has always shown the speed needed to be at the top. He leads Matthew Braun by 0.115-second, with Sam Strano not far behind.
Another interesting point comes in the particular cars represented in SSR. The cars at the top of the field include C5 and C6 versions of the Chevrolet Corvette and two generations of the Porsche 911 GT3.
Tim Smith leads E Prepared by 0.987-second over Allen Kugler. Smith was rewarded for making three fast and clean runs after finishing last year’s competition as the runner up in this class.
