Runoffs Early Entry Deadline Fast Approaching

TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 19, 2015) – The early registration deadline for the SCCA National Championship Runoffs Presented by Garmin VIRB is just around the corner. The cutoff is this Friday, Aug. 21, at midnight (CDT).

Currently, the fee to enter the Runoffs via SCCA.com is $775. After the Friday deadline, the price for entry jumps to $975. Online registration is strongly recommended, however paper entries will be accepted with an additional $10 processing fee.

Drivers that are not yet qualified, but are planning to attend the event, should still register to race prior to the early registration deadline. If a driver who has already signed up does not fulfill the qualification requirements, they will get a full refund of their entry fee.

Drivers who qualify, but are on the fence whether to attend the event, should also get their entry submitted by the deadline. Full refunds for cancelled entries will be issued until Sept. 9, at midnight (CDT). After that point, cancellations will be issued minus a $200 late cancellation fee.

The SCCA National Championship Runoffs Presented by Garmin VIRB is scheduled for Sept. 21-27, at Daytona International Speedway. A total of 28 National classes will take to the world-famous tri-oval and infield road course, which hosts the annual Rolex 24, to decide the 52nd class of Runoffs National Champions.

Four days of qualifying, Sept. 21-24, precede three full days of racing action, Sept. 25-27. That includes Friday Night Lights Presented by Mazda, the first Runoffs race in the event’s history held under artificial light. This once-in-a-lifetime experience is set to start at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) and will feature more than 50 Spec Miata drivers as they take to Daytona’s high banks to crown a new National Champion.
