Discounted Hotel Rates for the SCCA Convention At The South Point Hotel Now Available

TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 12, 2015) – The South Point Hotel and Casino is holding a room block for SCCA members attending the 2016 SCCA Convention and Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet, January 21-23 in Las Vegas.

Official registration for the event will open in October, but rooms may be reserved now. From Jan. 18-21, the SCCA Group Rate is $60, with rates for Jan. 22-24 at $100 per night.

While posted rates through other services may appear cheaper, the SCCA rate waives the $14 resort fee and includes complimentary parking, Wi-Fi in sleeping rooms, fitness center access, airport shuttle, airline boarding pass printing, which may be charged through other venues or the hotel directly.

The 2016 Convention focuses on training and leadership development within the Club. Over three days, a leadership summit, SCCA Annual Meeting and SCCA Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place. The leadership and training portion of the event will focus on technology, marketing, program development and execution, and the benefits to Region events.

The convention kicks off on Thursday with the SCCA Annual Meeting and a Welcome Reception, tentatively starting at 5:00 p.m. An exact time regarding the beginning of each event that night will be released as information becomes available.

The deadline to secure the SCCA rate at the South Point Hotel and Casino is December 28, 2015. To reserve a room, call the hotel at 702-796-7111 or book online through the link here.

Both the 12 August press release and the convention website state that the SCCA rate waives the $14 per day resort fee. Confirmation just received from South Point states that they do charge the fee.

Pat, if you book in our block that fee is waived per our contract.  Send me an email if you need me to intercede for you.

What do you get for the $100 for the extra dinner ticket?

Thanks for your question Peter.  Guests have the option to enjoy beverages at the cocktail reception as well as a lovely dinner at the SCCA Hall of Fame Induction Banquet.
