TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 25, 2010) The early-entry deadline for the 2010 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Subway is fast approaching, with just days remaining for competitors to take advantage of a discounted entry fee to the Sports Car Club of Americas premier event for amateur road racers in North America, held at Road America Sept. 24-26. The deadline for early registration, which caps the event fee at $450, is 11:59 p.m. CDT on Friday, August 27. After that date, the entry fee increases to $650 for the National Championship event. Registration can be completed online at www.scca.com/runoffs by clicking the National Championship Runoffs tab on the left side of the page. Paper entry fees should include an additional $10 handling fee, with envelopes postmarked or dated by an express delivery on or before Friday, August 27 eligible for the early entry fee. Paper entries should be sent to the SCCA national office in Topeka, Kan. More than 580 participants have already registered to fight for Championships in 28 different classes, following four days of qualifying in the days leading up to the races. All 24 races will be aired live through SpeedcastTV.com beginning Friday, Sept. 24 and concluding Sunday, Sept. 26.
