Companies Already Committing Runoffs Contingency Prizes

TOPEKA, Kan. (July 10, 2011) - With registration for September€™s SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road America opening on July 19, Sports Car Club of America club racers know that many of their favorite manufacturers and suppliers have already committed to providing contingency programs at the event. Thirty companies have already committed to programs, with more to follow soon. Among the 30 companies signed up for programs are four companies new to the Runoffs contingency program. Penske Racing Shocks, SafeRacer, Simpson Performance Parts and the USF2000 Series will all be a part of the contingencies posted on SCCA.com in mid-July. €œOur members at all of our events, and especially our National Championship events, have always been well supported by businesses and our partners,€ Jeff Dahnert, SCCA President and CEO, said. €œNot only do we see return visits from companies who participate in the contingency programs every year, but the addition of new companies who want to get their products in the hands of SCCA members.€ Available contingency programs range from auto manufacturers Ford Racing, Honda Performance Development, Mazda North American Operations, Nissan North America, Toyota/TRD and Volkswagen of America to Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. Tire Manufacturers BFGoodrich Tires, Goodyear, Hoosier, and Toyo Tires return for the 2011 Runoffs, as is Hawk Performance. Black Magic, Gumout, Mobil 1, Pace American and Sunoco have committed programs to the Runoffs. Hyperco coils, Panasport, Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies, Race Technology USA and Race-Keeper will support those who meet their contingency requirements, as will Staubli, Summit Racing Equipment and Tilton Engineering. SCCA Enterprises has also committed to supporting the Spec Racer Ford and the Formula Enterprises class at the 48th National Championship Runoffs. Registration for the SCCA National Championship Runoffs opens July 19.
