TOPEKA, Kan. (July 19, 2011) Online driver registration for the 2011 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® will open Tuesday, July 19 at 9 a.m. (CDT). All drivers are welcomed to register for the event at that time by following the Online Registration link at www.scca.com/runoffs. Parking spaces may be reserved through Road Americas website once a confirmation parking code is acquired following event registration. SCCA is utilizing a new registration system for the 2011 event, through motorsportreg.com. Drivers that competed in the event in 2010 will have their 2010 car number held for them until 9 a.m. (CDT) on Friday, July 29. After that time, all numbers (except number 1, reserved for defending Champions) will be available to all competitors. In the event a number was used in both classes in the 2011 combined groups, the first driver to enter will receive priority. The one caveat to the numbering system is that all drivers with existing motorsportreg.com accounts, who participated in 2010, will only be able to see their 2010 number for that class. Should a driver wish to select a different number, please notify runoffs@scca.com of your desire, and they will relinquish your 2010 number, therefore making other numbers available. Should a driver wish to enter in order to reserve a parking spot, but not have the number they ultimately desire available, it is recommended that the driver enter with a different number and then contact the registrar via runoffs@scca.com or 800-770-2055 (ask for Deanna Flanagan) afterward to request the change. The entry fee for the 2011 National Championship Runoffs is $450 until Friday Aug. 26. After that date, the entry fee will be $650.
