Final Midwest Double National Moves to Hastings, NE

TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 9, 2011) – Due to the flooding situation that has temporarily closed Mid-America Motorplex, in Jennings, Iowa, Nebraska Region has moved its Midwest Division season-ending Double National Club Racing event to Motorsport Park Hastings (MPH), in Hastings, Neb., Aug. 20-21. It will be the first-ever SafeRacer SCCA National Racing Series event held at the 13-turn, 2.15-mile circuit constructed in 2006. The facility enjoys considerable support from the local community in Hastings, which is located approximately 85 miles west of Lincoln, just south of Interstate 80. “We hope that drivers from the Midwest Division, as well as surrounding Divisions, will support the event and this new venue,” said Area 6 Director Lisa Noble. “We expect to host many races at Motorsport Park Hastings for years to come.” More information on the event, aptly named “Come Hell or High Water” is available at Nebraska Region’s web site (www.nrscca.com), with registration available at www.motorsportreg.com. The weekend also features a doubleheader for the Midwest Division IT Tour. -30-
