BFGoodrich Tires WOY Program Details Announced

TOPEKA, Kan. (August 9, 2011) €“ BFGoodrich® Tires is offering Sports Car Club of America Club Racing volunteers a chance to win a dream trip to the 2012 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring, with the winner selected from a pool of nine divisional BFGoodrich® Tires €œWorker of the Year€ winners. Every year since 1985, volunteer workers that make up the backbone of the Club Racing program in roles such as Emergency Services, Pit and Grid, Timing and Scoring, Registration, Race Administration, Flagging and Communications, Starter, Steward, Scrutineering and Sound Control have been recognized during the SCCA National Championship Runoffs. As the €œOfficial Street Tire€ of the SCCA, BFGoodrich Tires is helping to recognize the BFGoodrich Tires €œWorkers of the Year€ by offering each recipient a free set of BFGoodrich tires and one grand prize package to Sebring International Raceway for one lucky winner. The grand prize will include airfare, lodging, tickets, track hospitality, golf cart for use during the weekend and pit and paddock tours, courtesy of BFGoodrich Tires. In a change for the 2011 season, one BFGoodrich Tires €œWorker of the Year€ award will be given to one member in each of the nine SCCA divisions, regardless of specialty. Each of those nine Divisional winners will win a set of BFGoodrich Tires and a patch, plaque and jacket to commemorate the achievement. One of those nine winners will be selected to win the grand prize package during the BFGoodrich Tires €œWorker of the Year Party€ on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Road America. €œWorker of the Year€ candidates will be selected by a vote from that division€™s Executive Steward and Region Executives. Each Divisional Administrator will nominate an outstanding worker in each of their specialties to be included in the vote. SCCA members can also submit nominations to their Regional Executive, Executive Steward or Divisional Administrator for consideration by August 12, 2011. €œWorker of the Year€ award nominees should support their specialty, events, region, competitors, fellow workers and the SCCA; show dedication and support throughout the year; exhibit strong skills, good leadership, and a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected; and provide excellent customer service to everyone that person encounters.
