TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 24, 2011) SCCA has released a revised schedule for the 2011 National Championship Runoffs, held Sept. 19-25 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. Additionally, the Club Racing Department has issued the reminder that the early entry deadline is Aug. 26. Beginning at 12:01 a.m. (CDT) on Saturday, Aug. 27, the entry fee will increase by $200. The new event schedule includes revisions to the small bore qualifying groups, a qualifying and race group change for Super Touring® Over and Touring 1 and two race groups switching places in the Saturday schedule. For all qualifying sessions, F Production switches places with GT-Lite, joining H Production, with GT-L joining E Production. STO moves from the GT-3/Super Touring Under group to the Touring 1/American Sedan qualifying group. Additionally, STO will now race with Touring 1 in Race Group 1, with GT-3 now running solo. All grouping changes were made to balance car counts based on current entries. Finally, the two races flanking lunch on Saturday have swapped places, with the combined Showroom Stock B/C race moving to 11:30 and the GT-Lite race moving to 1:30. This move was done to accommodate more time for the combined race groups post-race ceremonies and to split up the back-to-back combined class races from the afternoon.
