SCCA Unveils Multimedia Live Experience For SCCA Runoffs

MONTEREY, Calif. (October 8, 2014) – SCCA members and fans who couldn’t make it to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca now have an updated computer interface to follow along with the event. The page includes video, live timing, audio, notes, weather, links to official results, and a live chat, all at SCCA.com/SCCALive.

The timing system includes segment times, which will light up purple to show the fastest segment of the session, as well as the fastest lap, for both the race and qualifying. Segments run from the start/finish line to turn five, turn five to the Corkscrew, and from the exit of the Corkscrew back around to the finish.

Live video is a static shot up the front straight during qualifying, but will be the traditional SpeedcastTV broadcast during Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s races.

The feed of the PA audio is available all week for those who may not be able to sacrifice the bandwith for the video feed, or are playing it through a stereo at home, in the office, or their car.

Lap Notes, from @SCCALive, and a chat box, for those who register, are also available on the page.

The entire new-look pit board is available at SCCA.com/SCCALive, or from the SCCA National Championship event page at SCCA.com/Runoffs.
