Racers Insurance Services, SCCA Launch Partnership

MONTEREY, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2014) – Sports Car Club of America, Inc. and Racers Insurance Services announced today the first component of a multi-faceted partnership, beginning with the All Participant Party Presented by Racers Insurance Services at the 2014 SCCA National Championship Runoffs®, Thursday, Oct. 9 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Racers who sign up for more information by clicking here will receive photos of their cars on track at the Runoffs, courtesy of Racers Insurance Services and RMKB Lawyers. Racers Insurance Services offers life insurance coverage specifically designed for racers and track-driving enthusiasts — at preferred rates. The presenting sponsorship of the participant party is the first component of a full partnership beginning in 2015. The Participant Party Presented by Racers Insurance Services is open to all teams and workers, and will include the presentation of the BFGoodrich Tires Worker of the Year awards and the Tire Rack Pole Position awards. Following a catered dinner and awards presentation, the band OTR will perform a special concert for attendees, presented by Hooked on Driving. “Any racer that has ever researched a life insurance policy knows that it’s not as simple or even readily available as a non-racer,” Eric Prill, SCCA Vice President of Marketing and Communications, said. “Racers Insurance Services addresses the needs of racing and track experience drivers. Based in San Jose, we are excited to launch our partnership close to Racers Insurance Services’ home base at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.” “It’s an honor and privilege for us to be able to partner with the SCCA,” Dave Marshall, Racers Insurance Services Senior Vice President, said. “We know that the SCCA is the premier organization for motorsports enthusiasts in the U.S. Because our mission is to provide quality life insurance products and services to racers and track-driving enthusiasts at preferred rates, we’re excited to begin our partnership at the 2014 Runoffs, and we look forward to participating in a number of SCCA activities and functions.” Life Insurance Designed Specifically for Racers and Track-Driving Enthusiasts Racers Insurance Services provides quality life insurance products and services to accomplished individuals who enjoy participating in auto racing and track-driving events. Many people who enjoy sanctioned amateur race competitions or who simply like to participate in open-track driving events probably aren’t aware that under the majority of life insurance policies, they and their families would not be covered in the event of an accident. Because Racers Insurance isn’t tied to a major carrier, the company has access to coverage from more than 70 insurance markets. This enables it to deliver the life insurance protection that drivers and motor sports enthusiasts need for their families, without hidden racing-related exclusions or rate adjustments. The premium savings can add up to hundreds or thousands of dollars annually — and the peace of mind knowing that the racer’s family is covered is priceless. “Many of the individuals who are involved in motorsports as a business or leisure-time activity have substantial financial needs,” Marshall explained. “These needs often include a significant level of life insurance coverage to address inheritance, business or tax issues — as well as to simply provide protection for their family and loved ones. Our products and services are designed to truly meet individuals’ requirements at preferred rates.” Racers Insurance is also actively providing sponsorships for a number of motorsports teams, and recently announced that it will be the primary sponsor of David Ray’s No. 31 Hooked on Driving Ford Spec Mustang, which will be competing in the Touring 2 (T2) class at the 2014 SCCA Runoffs.
