Show that SCCA Features the Best Drivers in America at MSX

TOPEKA, Kan. (Feb. 10, 2014) – As part of the North American MotorSports Expo (MSX) set to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, the GoPro Motorplex, located in nearby Mooresville, will host the MSX Grand Prix ‘Put Up or Shut Up’ Challenge.

It’s your time to help show everyone that SCCA has the most talented amateur racers in the country. Simply sign up for a timeslot at the GoPro Motorplex booth on the expo floor, while space is available. There is no charge for registration and the fastest driver will take home $500, with second winning $100 and third earning $50.

Each driver who signs up will have the chance to throw down their best lap time in a qualifying-like session. The best times logged by each driver will determine the final finishing order of the competition.

The only way you can get in on this chance to prove your on-track prowess, and have an opportunity to walk away with $500, is to sign up and attend MSX.

The MSX Expo is slated to feature more than 60 of the amateur motorsports industry’s most influential organizations, including Mazdaspeed Motorsports, Bell Racing and Grassroots Motorsports. The Expo also features 34 conference sessions and keynote speakers on Friday and Saturday. Remember to set aside some time to network with fellow racers at Friday night’s Opening Night Happy Hour, Feb. 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

In concert with MSX will be the SCCA National Convention proceedings. Spanning Feb. 20-21, there will be 14 time slots for SCCA-only items including the annual meeting and discussion sessions ranging from growth of the Club to traditional forums for each area of competition. The convention culminates with the SCCA Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet presented by Mazda on Feb. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the MSX Conference, which includes access to the conference session, expo floor, floor presentations and two free drink tickets to the MSX Opening Night Happy Hour, are $95 for SCCA members. To add access to the SCCA National Convention, which includes all the above plus one dinner ticket for the SCCA Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet, the price of admission is $195. VIP tickets for the Convention proceedings, which includes the above with the addition to two free drink tickets to the SCCA Hall of Fame Reception, an invitation to attend a private reception with the Hall of Fame Inductees and reserved seating at the SCCA Awards Banquet, are available for $295.
