TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 21, 2014) – The GT and GTS classes of the Pirelli World Challenge will be in action this weekend at Sonoma Raceway. You can catch every minute by logging onto www.world-challengetv.com to view each race via live streaming.

In GT, Cadillac pilot Johnny O’Connell still holds the top spot in the Drivers’ Championship. Mike Skeen, driving an Audi R8 Ultra this season, sits second in season-long points, 82 markers behind O’Connell. With the season winding down, it’s crunch time to make hay in the Championship fight.

Michael Mills took over the lead in GT-A by notching the best-in-class finish in both races at Mid-Ohio. Former Championship leader Henrik Hedman held on to the second spot in class, trailing by 27 markers. Dan Knox holds station in third, with 536 points.

In GTS, Mark Wilkins is the top dog in class heading into this weekend’s racing. Wilkins holds a 143-point lead over his teammate, Nic Jonsson, and will be looking for a smooth race weekend to consolidate his class lead. Sitting third in the Drivers’ Championship is defending titlist Lawson Aschenbach, with 999 points.

Both races of this doubleheader weekend will be covered via live internet broadcast, which can be seen by going to www.world-challengetv.com. Starting Aug. 23, at 2:20 p.m. (PDT), will be Race One. The event will be capped off by coverage of Race Two Aug. 24, at 4:10 p.m. (PDT).
