Tech Bulletin: Solo Passenger Allowances
After a review from risk management, the passenger language was recommended to be revised to reflect updated information. The SEB met on April 23, 2025, and approved the following update to Section 1.2.2.D, effective immediately. This update will also appear in the next release of Fastrack.
A passenger is allowed provided they:1. is no younger than twelve (12) years old or is at least 57" tall;2. is in a vehicle which has passed safety (tech) inspection (Section 3.3.3);3. is wearing a properly fitted seat belt and a properly fitted helmet;4. has completed and signed the required participant waiver(s), including parents/guardians as appropriate (Section 4.13).
A passenger is allowed provided:
1. Passenger must be twelve (12) years or older;
2. Passenger must fit properly in the vehicle's safety restraints and must wear a properly fitted helmet;
3. It is highly recommended that onboard passenger airbag(s) be disabled for passengers under 57 inches tall;
4. The vehicle has passed safety (tech) inspection (Section 3.3.3);
5. Passenger has completed and signed the required participant waiver(s), including parents/guardians as appropriate (Section 4.13)."
