As many are aware, the 2023 Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals reached its 1300-driver cap in record time. At this time, the waitlist remains quite healthy.

After considerable conversations around providing an efficient and quality Solo Nationals, we are instituting the following guidelines around the processing of the waitlist:

  • Run Day caps: Tues/Wed run days will cap at 700 drivers, Thurs/Fri run days will cap at 600 drivers.
    • Currently, Tues/Wed run days are at capacity.
    • The Thurs/Fri run day cap is intentionally set at 600 to allow, in an unlikely and unpreventable situation where time is needed to complete Tues/Wed runs, those runs to be completed on Thursday morning. As in recent years, no car will be sent from Grid to start a run as of 30 minutes prior to officially published sunset from the National Weather Service at Lincoln AirPark. The only exception is for cars that are already on a mechanical delay, which may complete their mechanical and take their run.
  • As cancellations are received and processed, we will still be working the waitlist in the order entries were received. If you have registered for a class that is running Tues/Wed and those run days remain full, we will offer you an opportunity to select a Thurs/Fri class, as space remains available (and vice versa). If you are not interested in/able to switch to an alternate run-day class, you will remain in the same order on the waitlist for a spot on your original days to become available. We will then move to the next driver on the list.
  • Registered drivers will not be able to make changes to their run days unless there is room within the cap. If you need to make any changes to your entry, email Tracy Lewis at tlewis@scca.com.
  • Drivers will still have 24 hours to respond to the waitlist email(s) before being returned to their spot on the waitlist. Failure to respond and complete payment to secure the entry within the given timeframe will result in the driver being returned to the waitlist and the offer presented to the next driver on the list.

In addition to the above, we are committed to having operational plans in place to ensure that we can respond quickly to issues within our control. Examples include sweeping brush to quickly clean up on-course spills and having hydraulic car dollies to expedite extracting broken cars from course.
