Just as it was in 2012-2013 with the introduction of the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ, the autocross world is again abuzz with anticipation on the 2nd generation "Twins" as we like to call them. In response to numerous letters asking to class the new 2022 Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 in the Street Category, the SEB and SAC would like to announce that both cars have been classed in DS effective immediately. 

TB: Per the SAC, please make the following addition to Appendix A:
   D Street (DS)
       Subaru
           BRZ (2022)
 
       Toyota
           GR86 (without TRD equipment) (2022)

Please note, the SAC/SEB will be closely monitoring the availability and specifications of any TRD performance options if offered for the GR86 going forward. At the time of classing, detailed information and specifications on these potential options are unavailable, therefore at this time TRD equipment is excluded for the 2022 GR86.

Since the formal Tech Bulletin will not appear in Fastrack until later in January, the SEB agreed to get the announcement out to the membership now due to the overwhelming interest in these cars.
