Brian Conners has joined the SCCA National Solo Staff in the role of National Solo Series Business Operations Engineer.  From this role he will lead the National Solo Field Team through the process of root cause analysis, restart, and standardization of the ProSolo Series.

As a 20-year SCCA member Conners has served 18 years volunteering on various committees and boards including Chair of the Solo Events Board.   From outside the club, Brian has a degree in Manufacturing Engineering.  He spent the last 30 years as an entrepreneur in his own business where he honed his skills in Engineering, Business Operations,  and Standards Implementation including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001.

The next steps of the project include an extensive “under the hood” look so the SCCA can plan the restart of the program.  “We need to test the system until it breaks,” says Conners.  “I encourage the membership to share what they know or remember when it comes to failure points.”

The SCCA is working to restart the system in a trial period for some real-world testing this season.  Depending on the challenges ahead we will communicate details on the next steps as they develop.
