Technical Bulletin: Incident Reporting Procedures
With the availability of the Online Incident Reporting Tool on the Members Account Portal to all Safety Stewards and Region Executives and the SCCA Incident Checklist just released by the National Office, the RRB felt it was appropriate to provide additional guidance to event organizers in advance of official changes to the RoadRally and Trek Rules.
This Technical Bulletin to the SCCA community addresses two items.
- For RoadRally events: if the RoadRally Safety Steward (RRSS) of record (who Pre-checked the event) cannot be present the day of the event, the RRSS must inform the Event Chair who will appoint either a replacement RRSS or another individual (Example: RE or other program Safety Steward) who has access/knowledge of the SCCA Incident Reporting process who will be present the day of the event and can collect and submit the data required.
- For Trek events: Since a RoadRally Safety Steward is not required to pre-check or attend the Trek event, the Trek Chairperson is responsible to have an individual attend the event who has access/knowledge of the SCCA Incident Reporting process who can collect and submit the data required. (Example: RE or other program Safety Steward)
