Impound Process Update

In an effort to improve the participant experience at ProSolo events a revised Impound procedure will be in place for 2026. The goal is to reduce the amount of drivers who are required to stay in Impound after each heat along with reducing the time those drivers must remain in Impound. For Heat 1 and Heat 2 (on Day 1), after all single driver's runs are complete, those drivers will proceed to Impound (cars with 2nd drivers will proceed directly to the 2nd Driver Grid). Once Timing confirms that all 1st drivers in class have completed their runs, Impound will start a 15-minute clock. All cars in class in trophy positions plus the next two cars in time order will remain in Impound and can be released once the 15-minute time period has expired. 2nd drivers will go through the same procedure once their runs are complete.

Super Challenge Opt-In

After the 3rd Heat (on Day 2), Impound will hold cars that are designated as top 32 on the Challenge Qualifier List along with any other cars within the time margin to 1st place in class designated by Timing. Drivers of these cars held in impound must declare their intent to run the Super Challenge by initialing the final class results. The final 32 Super Challenge drivers will be determined based on drivers who have declared their intent to run the Super Challenge along with any alternates used in place of drivers who do not.

Any drivers who do not run the 3rd Heat but are potentially eligible to run the Super Challenge based on the Challenge Qualifier list must present their cars to Impound at the completion of the 3rd Heat for their class and initial the class results. Any eligible driver who has not declared their intent to run the Super Challenge within 20 minutes of Impound receiving final class results will be declared ineligible for the Super Challenge.
