SportsCar Mag Safety - Fuel on the Fire
I was just reading Randy Pobst's article on safety and fires after crashes. He aptly describes what to do when your car is on fire, and includes that you should turn your kill switch to turn your fuel pumps off if electric because he has seen where fires increase because of fuel feeding the fire.
I recommend one more thing, add inertia switches to your electric pump circuit to kill the pump when you crash. This could save your life, and certainly can save you from injuries. Pegasus and others sell them and they don't cost very much $60.
Save yourself trouble and injuries.
Take care and great, safe racing.
