Kick your Solo season off with the warmth of the South Georgia sun and the hospitality of the Dixie Region as the Tire Rack SCCA Championship Tour gets started once again at South Georgia Motorsports Park. The Dixie tour is always a capacity crowd as Soloist from above and below the Mason Dixon shake off the winter and shake down new set ups as they start their Road to Lincoln. The lot at South Georgia Motorsports Park is long and narrow, so courses tend to follow a runway pattern of fast transitions and off sets and a big turn around at the end. Be sure to arrive early enough to take advantage of the practice course and plan to stay for Friday’s welcome party featuring some of the finest grillwork in the south.
College Station- Texas
College Station Texas plays host to the second stop on the Tire Rack SCCA Championship Tour on the Road to Lincoln. This is the third year in a row the Tour has stopped at the home of the Texas A&M Aggies. Big, fast courses and high grip concrete have been the hallmarks of this event, and 2014 will be no different. Look for the best of Texas to come out for this event, with strong participation from the fastest classes in Solo. If you want to see how you measure up early in the season, this is the event to do. Don’t forget about the practice course on Friday, just the thing you need to knock of the winter’s rust and be ready to put in your best performance at the Tour.
The Tire Rack SCCA Championship Tour rolls in to San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium for the third stop on the Road to Lincoln. The site has developed a reputation for low tire wear and high grip and promises a course worthy of Championship level competition. The stadium is just minutes from New York City, and this year’s event is paired up with the DC Pro, one week earlier. This leads an opportunity for Soloist from near and far to double up and spend some time in New York and DC in the week in between.

Tire Rack SCCA National Series competition returns to Central California as the Championship Tour rolls into Crows Landing for the sixth stop on the Road to Lincoln. There has been a lot of excitement about the return to Crows and when you experience the grip of this concrete you will know why. This even is the perfect west coast primer for Nationals, so get to the site early and get you and your car ready on Friday’s practice course. If you are looking for even more seat time, arrive a week early and run the ProSolo on the same site.

The Tire Rack SCCA Championship Tour rolls into Wilmington Ohio for the last stop before Nationals on the Road to Lincoln. The Wilmington site is the perfect place to get ready for Nationals as the huge pad offers Lincoln-like grip and space for fast and flowing courses. This year’s Tour is part of a set of weekends at Wilmington with a ProSolo coming the week before. Just a month before the Championship, plan to arrive early on Friday and make use of the practice course to make those last minute tweaks so that you are ready to put in your best performance when it matters most.
Just because the season is over, doesn’t mean the season is over! 2014 has one more stop on the Tire Rack SCCA Championship Tour in Blytheville Arkansas. This event has traditionally had some twists along with the turns as concepts now engrained in the Match Tour program were born here. In 2014, following the tradition set in Almyra Arkansas; the twist is a record book. This event is the first installment of a permanent course design and will set the initial records that will be chased in years to come. Given that intention, look for this to be one of Solo’s all time best courses covering the massive site with proven elements of past events, fast and flowing sections and technical features to challenge the most savvy of competitors.
