Third Annual Beat The Boss Crowns Real Winner - The SCCA Foundatioin
ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (September 21, 2011) - Once the cars stopped running on Wednesday at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs, 27 entrants took their shot at Road America – on foot.
The third annual Beat The Boss four-mile run allowed SCCA members, for a $25 donation to the SCCA Foundation, to run a foot race against SCCA President & CEO Jeff Dahnert for bragging rights.
Six runners, led by Daniel Prevenas, topped Dahnert’s time of 30 minutes, 8 seconds (7.965 mph) to claim the Beat The Boss title.
Prevenas completed the circuit in 24 minutes, 29 seconds (9.803 mph) to top the field, followed by Lee Niffeneger and Erik Skirmants to complete the podium.
The 2011 edition of Beat the Boss raised more than $700 for the SCCA Foundation. The SCCA Foundation supports programs like the Tire Rack® Street Survival, a "hands-on" driving experience for young drivers that simulates real-world situations.
