2012 Packwood ProSolo

Packwood's beauty is best taken in from behind the wheel. A top-notch site, mild summer temperatures, panoramic views, all nestled into a tiny little town deep in Mt. Rainer National forest, it simply does not get better. This year the National Series will again visit Packwood on back-to-back weekends giving Soloist an opportunity to make the most of their travels and take in the atmosphere. If you are an outdoorsy type, plan to rent a cabin for the week or camp and enjoy hiking, fishing and the amazing scenery. If you are more of an urbanite, just two hours will put you in Seattle for the days between where you can enjoy dining, shopping and some of the world’s finest coffee shops. Grub in Packwood can be hard to come by. There is good food to be found at Cruisers Pizza and The Blue Spruce Diner, though you will not want to miss the Saturday night party at the Firehouse featuring dinner and a top shelf raffle. Remember to book early, Packwood accommodations fill up fast (and so does the INDOOR paddock)!
