CFR SCCA Solo (Autocross) Daytona International Speedway This will be a 2-day event. Saturday will be a practice event. This event will not award trophies or points, but will allow open instruction for any driver who requests it. Sunday will be the 2016 Class Championship Event #8. Event trophies for each class will be awarded and class championship points will be accrued. The event location is currently planned for the kart track in the infield near NASCAR Turn 3. To gain access, you must enter Daytona International Speedway via International Speedway Gate 40 off of S. Williamson Blvd. Then make your way to the registration building up on the hill near the DIS turn 1 tunnel access road where you will need to park, go up the hill, and find the lines for Solo registration. There you will sign the waiver, receive your wrist band, and complete your check-in and/or registration. Note that this building will not be open after 9:00 AM each day, and you will most likely not be able to gain access to the track if you arrive later than that. Once you have your wrist band, you will show it to the security personnel in order to gain entrance to the tunnel and the racetrack. Make your way through the tunnel into the racetrack. Follow the tunnel road all the way around till you are just past the far NE end of Lake George, which will be on your right, at which point you will turn to the right off of the tunnel road and you should be able to see the autocross paddock area which will be in the grass to your left. And you DON'T have to do any paperwork at the track Minors (under 18), bring a completed minor waiver, see details below WATER (It gets hot, especially on course shagging cones!) Extra $ for food: The NASCAR fan zone will be open and selling food, as well as several locations along International Speedway Boulevard. Why Prepay? Everyone MUST PRE-REGISTER, but you do not have to pre-pay There will be two lines onsite: One for preregistered and prepaid and will take < 30sec to check in One for those who have to pay (someone could be writing a check in front of you!!) Plus you can get an event credit or credit card refund if you can't make the event. Note that we will issue an event credit by default; you must send and email to cfrsolo2@gmail.com if you wish to have a credit card refund instead. Event credits, and credit card refunds will be entered the day following the event, and may take a day or two to be processed.
