The Worker of the Year is given to the workers who have contributed the most during the year in their specialty. The following questions are intended to help guide you when selecting nominee to the acknowledge as 2014 WOY.

1. Does this Worker support their specialty, event, region, competitors, fellow workers and the SCCA?  If so, how do they do it?

2. Has the Worker shown dedication and enthusiasm throughtout the year?

3. What distinguishes this Worker as unique?  Do they exhibit strong skills, good leadership, and a willingness to go "beyond what is expected?"

4.  Did this Worker make a difference during a certain task or special situation?  If so, how was their presence influential?

Our Workers are unique and special people in so many ways. They deserve to be recognized for their contribution to the sport and club we all enjoy.

Facebook Link - 2014 SCCA National Runoffs "Workers"

This closed group is an 'informal' Facebook' group for Runoffs 'volunteers' created by Donna Duffey, Chief Sound. A place to get volunteers together to chat about the runoffs allow pre friendship to be made, and maybe allow people to connect for rides, housing, information about the track, etc. You may be invited by anyone in the group or click here to be accepted in the group.  


All licensed SCCA workers are welcome to participate in the 2014 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® October 6-12, 2014 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. The event provides a unique opportunity to work side by side with other workers from all across the US to share the experience and learn from each other. We want to see you there and hope this information is helpful in your planning your attendance.
The Specialty Chiefs are being determined and will be posted shortly after the first of the year. Once registration opens (early June), your request to work will be sent to your specialty chief for final confirmation and assignment.
Workers will be able to camp or park an RV for “no charge” in the area above turns 10 - 11. Click here for map..There is no electricity or hook-ups available in this area, but you will have access to public restrooms and shower facilities. RV servicing will also be available during the event. A request will be sent out early in 2014 to identify the number of workers who wish to camp in the free area so we can determine the actual location. Camping will be open as of Saturday, October 4th.  
If you desire accommodations other than this, reservations for Camping and RV spots can now be made at the Monterey County Park at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Spaces are limited, so if you want/need to camp/RV outside the paddock, but on–property you should reserve a spot as soon as possible. To do so, call the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Ticket office at 800-327-7322. Additional information about the Camping areas in the park can be found here,but please use the number noted in this paragraph to make your reservations.
Lodging is also available in the area at reasonable rates depending on your personal preferences. Seaside, Salinas and other communities within a half hour commute offer additional options. Weekly rental properties are also a possibility. For assistance in making your arrangements, you can contact the Monterey County Convention and Visitors bureau at 877-Monterey or
